These black, white and green fabrics are just waiting to become a Wonky Cross quilt. This will be for a friend of a friend who was just given a wonderful gift.....a new lung. The transplant and recovery is lengthy and her best friend wanted to give her a special quilt to enjoy at home and for those treatments at a cold hospital. These colors are just delicious, bright and up-lifting. Should be a fun quilt to work on.
Black, White & Red: Not sure yet what exactly will come to mind when I begin to put this one together. Stay posted. I just love the fabric with the black & white birds. And the little red birdie randomly tossed in is just too cute!
Citron & Grey: Since seeing these colors noted in Color Trends as two of the top color combinations for 2011 I just fell in love with them. I've slowly been collecting fabrics for four months now and think I have what I need to create a quilt. Now I am seeing these color combinations in commercials and advertising left and right. Hope I get it completed before they saturate the market with these colors!! Oh, with this fabric Im going to create a variation on Kathryn Schmidts "The Frame Up" from her book titled Rule Breaking Quits. I think this design will let me feature some of the fabrics with larger prints while challanging me to use the smaller prints to breakout from traditional quilting techniques. Looking forward to this one!
Im ready....is it time to pack the car for the retreat yet??????
